Know Your Triggers

Triggers can be people, places, emotions, memories, stress, boredom, conflict, or even certain times of day. Knowing your triggers does not mean you are weak, it helps you prepare. A recovery plan might include leaving the situation, calling someone supportive, grounding yourself, changing your routine, or reminding yourself that cravings pass. The goal is not to avoid every difficult feeling. It is to learn healthier ways to respond.

Awareness about identifying triggers and using healthy recovery coping skills.
